Happy Halloween from FPRL

Saturday, Oct 27th, FPRL had a smashing Barn Chore Day, combined with our Halloween Party and Costume Contest.
Barn Chore Day is a fun opportunity for our students to give a little love back to our barn, enjoy some pizza, and have fun with their friends (both human and horse.) We learn how to clean the tack we use, organize and hang bridles, clean the wash rack, and organize grooming supplies. We also give bubble baths to the horses that need it! We organize Barn Chore Days about once a month, so if you’d like to be put on our mailing list to hear about upcoming events like this, just contact us!
Halloween this year is positively spooky and rainy, which seems very fitting. However, last Saturday was sunny and bright and beautiful weather for our Halloween party and costume contest. Our students came prepared and dressed up, along with their horses. It was quite the parade.
Here are the winners for each category:
Most Creative: Maggie and Faith as a Beekeeper and Bee

Spookiest: Shelby and Luna as a Witch and her Steed

Funniest: Riley and Chief Joseph as a Jockey and Racehorse

Best Duo: Annabelle and Harry Potter as a Barn Cat

Best Costume Overall: Katja and Chip as Princess and the Pea

Everyone had the best time! It was so much fun dressing up and seeing everyone’s costumes, and the horses were champs. They loved it as much as the kids did. We thank everyone for coming out and celebrating the spooky season with us.
Happy Halloween!
