FPRL SUMMER CAMPS

Sleepaway Camp

FPRL hosts a Sleepaway Camp at our private farm in Bellville, TX every Summer in June. Sleep-away camp is available to those aged 8+ who are trotting independently and learning to canter, all the way up to our advanced riders jumping courses, learning dressage, and jumping cross country. Sleep-away camp is a 6-day overnight camp held in Bellville, TX at our beautiful private farm. Each camper will be assigned to her “own” horse (or bring their own) for the course of the camp (horse and rider appropriately suited).

Daily Activities:

Campers will learn the responsibility and work involved with properly caring for the horse.

Campers will exhibit the proper care of his/her horse including tacking, un- tacking, bathing, grooming and stabling.

Campers will be expected to bring in, feed, clean up after, and turnout their own horses each day.

Campers will ride 2 times/day, one lesson and one “free-ride”.

When the campers are not riding they are participating in other activities including swimming in the pond, visiting Blue Bell Creamery, arts and crafts, and more!

Campers will be grouped according to age and experience in order to offer the most fine-tuned and highest quality riding instruction. We are able to accommodate a maximum of 10 campers per week.
