FPRL offers private, and group lessons for adults and children of all skill levels, beginner to advanced. We believe in teaching with positive reinforcement and to different learning styles to motivate students to meet their individual goals. Our lessons are paced to match the student’s individual needs and each student is carefully matched with the appropriate mount.

New riders age 7 and up are welcome in our program.  If your child has never ridden a horse before, we look forward to introducing them to the equestrian sport and helping them achieve their riding goals in a safe, professional, and fun environment. They will learn grooming, basic horse anatomy, correct terminology, and care for their tack. Riding skills and equine knowledge are built up from week to week assuring a well rounded foundation in riding. We have well mannered, safe lesson horses and all the necessary tack, helmets, and equipment to get them started!

Students 7 + begin with hour private lessons before joining an ability based group class. Our adult students often begin with private instruction so that we may suggest a suitable group lesson time for them.

We offer three types of lessons (see individual links) that are all rooted in the basic balance seat position. Our goal is to help our students pursue any equestrian activity that they find interesting. We have many students that participate in all three!

English Riding Program

Our English riding lessons are rooted in classic equitation and the idea of developing a balanced, correct seat with effective riding aids.

Western Riding Program

We offer western riding lessons with an emphasis on balance and communication between horse and rider.

Polo Program

We offer polo riding lessons for students that might be interested in venturing into the sport of polo, as well as stick & ball lessons for established riders/players.
